Itsy bitsy spider isn't so itsy bitsy in this case-spider veins and varicose veins.

A few months have passed and I have had the chance to see what goes on throughout certain treatment processes and procedures. There have been many questions lately regarding varicose veins and spider veins. Varicose veins and spider veins are different in a number of ways. Varicose veins are larger than spider veins and tend to bulge. No matter what type of vein it is, if it's visible, usually patients find them to be bothersome and want them to go away. Today, there is a treatment called sclerotherapy. In this rather simple procedure, veins are injected with a sclerosing solution, which causes them to collapse and fade from view. The treatment usually takes 10-15 minutes with minimal discomfort. If you would like to schedule an appointment or need additional information, please contact our office at 412-741-1976.
